Post subject:  Those Mainframes and their Gateway Security Systems...

I'm sorry if my English isn't good at all but I'm Spanish...

So... Let's go, I take any mission which involves a Mainframe, so I connect to the Uplink ISM and take for example "Trace a hacker who recently broke into our systems" mission.

Then I connect to InterNIC and get the Public Server of the company and the phone of the Admin, I record his voice and I connect to the Mainframe, the last bounce is the Public Server for example.

I bypass the 6 Security Systems (I hacked 2 bank accounts before so I've got the latest versions), then I hack the Voice Print and the Password Screen, and if there's a VDPIN I hack it too...

But when I proceed to enter in the server it says me the "Host is not responding"

I've seen another thread in the forum, but the guy doesn't says how he did it. I've looked in InterNIC for the Gateway servers, also in the PCForce, but I don't see any hash, so I can't use any Md* or SHA hack there... and in the other servers of the company, but it seems that i can't found anything

Can someone help me starting where I can't continue?

Thanks a lot!

Log into the company's internal service machine, and pull up the links page. Look for a link that says, "X company's gateway", and add it to your list. Connect to the gateway, use your PCForce to hack into the gateway, then crash the system. You can now log into the mainframe as long as the gateway remains off-line.

For the record, your English was virtually flawless.

Formal or informal? Either way, the grammar was very good, but I wouldn't call it flawless. But to the layman, it's very, very, very good. Had he not told us he was Spanish, I wouldn't've known English wasn't his second language.

PS. Just so y'know, there've been several topics on this subject. Next time, search the forums first. ;)

You're going to make me blush... :D

I'm sorry about creating another topic, but i've searched in the Onlink Banter forum and I only found one topic which was called "host not responding?" and he doesn't says how he did it, and as I said, I'm Spanish, so understand me when I read the Uplink Laboratories' article but I couldn't understand it... I knew I had to disable the Gateway Server but I couldn't find it...

Thanks for helping me, all of you.
