Ok, I'm trying to use a custom gateway but every time i try to open onlink after adding it to the default gateway list, i get a fatal error. any help would be appreciated.

I think it has been mentioned here or somewhere else. But if you rename the .dat files to .rar and unpack them into the same folder as they are in, you can modify the resources for the game graphics, lans, music, gateways, etc..

'On'link of course is new and has alot of new add-ons, button's, gateways, even a new gateway shop. So I dont think many if any have been altered 'modded' yet.

That said im not sure if Onlink will accept the old uplink gateway files, someone with a darker color name than mine would have to answer that

Have you tried wiping everything out and reinstalling uplink, then onlink and starting from scratch?

Atleast then you won't have the error at start-up and you can play till someone smarter can help you with adding your modded gateway.

You can skip the "install uplink" step. Onlink is standalone now.

There's already a topic on this same subject, albeit with a slightly different problem.
