I'm very often screwed by banks, even though I didn't succeed in breaking in.

I just passed the Experienced level, the only missions I see are Level 5 or 6 but I don't have enough money yet to by Monitor Bypass (well I could buy level 1 but is it worth it?).

So I tried to get in a bank. after 45 seconds the password breaker didn't get a single char, so I disconnected, went straight into the InterNIC logs and deleted the last 127.0.0.1 routed entries.

Issue is... if I advance the clock manually a few hours I get caught for that ! Is it because I delete InterNIC logs with a v1.0 deleter ? should I buy a higher level deleter ? And where the heck will I find the money to buy a Level 5 Monitor bypass :-P

ok I'm gonna restore my .usr file now and continue :-D

Yes, get a higher level LogDeleter. LogDeleter 1 leaves behind a "log deleted" log, which can be undeleted with logUndeleter. Get LogDeleter version 4. That's the only good version there is.

As for the issue with the password breaker, you need to disable the bandwidth monitor. It's done in the same way as disabling a proxy or a firewall.

As for getting enough money to buy a monitor bypass, just accept all missions where you need to hack a bank account until you find one with lots of money (the ones which say "trace a recent balance transfer" always have at least about a million credits in the account you need to "trace"). Then buy a proxy disabler and a b.monitor disabler (they don't have to be very high version, but it won't hurt if both are at least 5), bounce your connection through a whole lot of systems to get the time you need.
Then, connect to the bank where the rich account is, disable the proxy and the b.monitor (note: you can never crack the password while the b.monitor is active. However, if you already know the password of the account you're about to rob, you only need to disable the proxy), log in to the account, transfer the money to your account, delete the money transfer log in that bank (Make sure you use a log deleter v 4.0!), bounce your connection again through a whole lot of systems and connect to the uplink bank. Disable the proxy, login to your account and delete the money transfer log.
Finally, log in to internic and delete all logs save the most recent connection established log. If you're done everything right, you should be now a lot richer. If you get en email which says your rank just skyrocketed, it confirms you did everything correctly.

While it's a good idea to hurry and delete the money transfer logs ASAP after transferring the money, I've transferred money from at least three banks in a row and hacking only once to uplink bank to delete all three money transfer logs in a row using disablers all the time, so transferring money from a single account should be a piece of cake

Warning the uplink bank may have a higher version then lvl 5. So it can be a problem to bypass them.

AFAIK any of them can, and some of them may have firewalls. Whatever the case, usually level 7 disabler is more than enough. Still, it's annoying when the only way to get rid of a certain security system is using a killer, since sometimes you can't even buy a disabler/bypasser which has high enough version ;/

Luckily that's often true only with the Uplink Internal Services Machine (And Global Medical Database ofc)

Personally, I recommend having the highest versions of Bypassers (if you've got HUD_ConnectionAnalyzer), and keep Killers in case whatever you're trying to bypass is higher-level than your bypassers.

Get an account with a 3rd party bank. Transfer money there and then log into teh account normally and transfer to your uplink account. noone will care if you leagally transfer money between your own accounts

THANKS a lot to all of you guys for the support. I'm too busy this week to play, but I took good note of these processes. I'll post here my success (or desperate failure  )
