1. Are Aux Gateways supposed to have the tutorial and both file utills on it?

2. What does Encryption do in the game?

1. No clue. Yes, I guess? I mean, you can just delete the files. Presumably, the purchase of an aux. gateway is similar to the purchase of a brand-new gateway (such as after you've nuked your own).

2. Mission-wise, I haven't encountered any missions that require files to be encrypted (usually quite the opposite; everyone wants files to be decrypted), so AFAICT, there's currently no real use for Encryption software.

I meant the connection encryption.

Possibly the software is a included part of the Gateway Os, so it's like buying a new gateway as you said.

Ah, the Encryption security system? It makes cracking a system's password more difficult. I'm not sure exactly how, in-game explanation-wise. It probably keeps on changing the password's encryption, so that the password breaker can't keep up, so you need to bypass the security before you can crack the password.
