Trailing on the heals of my previous post, I have readied a new working alpha, and instead of a screenshot, I offer a video in it's stead. I was speaking to a player on MSN the other day who had just begun playing Onlink, and he likened the sudden additions to stepping into a tornado. I must say, while such features are being added because I find them second nature and lacking, I doubt many people have as much ease in playing what I develop, with is a bit backwards compared to how deving usually is. In this video, I offer a full showing of the function. You will need quicktime to play this file. I tried out converting to WMV, but the file became both huge and crappy. Therefore I will not be posting it. Onlink 0.1.2 FINAL should be released later today. Since it's 1:18 right now, I'd say there's a good chance of that happening. to be honest, the current onlink is very confusing. I as former uplink player don't know how to do this and how to do that. I'm afraid new players would feel the same. Maybe you should add some tutorial missions? Or in game help? |
