Just so you're aware, there's 64 versions, not two. 32 for each version (and yes, there is certainly some overlap)

If you want to put VSEC spoilers on the wiki, I have no objection to that.

Let me thusly dispense the first hint. Each board takes between 4 and 11 moves to complete. There are four of each, for each version. (the means 4 with 4 moves to complete, 4 with 5 moves, 4 with 6 moves, etc.)
[...] there's 64 versions, not two. 32 for each version (and yes, there is certainly some overlap)
I haven't understand exactly... how many unique patterns are there? 32 or 64? you said 4 for each version, so I think 32.
PS: I'm going to contribute to the wiki... http://www.io-in.com/wiki/VSEC_Solutions

Fine, fine... here's the tool I use to beat VSEC (and Miah, feel free to edit out the link if you feel that this breaks the game):

<yeah, that kinda breaks it. I would care less if specific solutions went into the wiki -M>

To break Unsolved Pattern / 4 moves pattern #1 (the farthest left, under VSEC 1.0; it's the one with the two columns of lit lights), just click on each active light. The break the second one (where it's a ring of lights), click the four corners.

Post subject:  ANSWER IS HERE!!!!

this link will help you with weak VDPIN were on click and green sqaures disapear.

http://www.geocities.com/jaapsch/puzzle ... ghtjcl.htm

this one is for harder VDPINS like the one at the bank systems

http://www.geocities.com/jaapsch/puzzle ... ghtj2k.htm

just click edit and put in your combination then "unclick" edit and press solve and it'll give you your answer.

Note: that on the second one green squares mean 2 clicks and red is 1
but when you go to solve the little dots switch (red is 2 and green means one click) hope this helps.

you can minimize the game and use this if your stuck... i do :P

Crap. I'm stuck. The links in the wiki are all busted, and the two geocities things are 5x5, not 4x4 like Vsec, and this kinda thing is not my speciality. I'm more concrete.

The one I'm on is (x is on, o is off)
oxxo
xoox
xoox
oooo

Any help?

M'eh, I wonder how many times this has been discussed? :-/

Just use <Link removed by FinalWarrior> if you can't figure out how to crack the thing yourself

EDIT by FinalWarrior: Removed link to VSEC solver.

Assuming the grid layout is as follows:
Code:
A1 B1 C1 D1 A2 B2 C2 D2 A3 B3 C3 D3 A4 B4 C4 D4
With letters being columns and numbers being rows,

(Spoilers follow)

Click lights A2, D2, and all lights in rows 3 and 4.

Although I could just use an external app to figure it out, I vote for the idea that could be like a difficulty level in options or something. Someone else said that somewhere, dunno where, but I remember seeing something like that.

And yes, I am very lazy, don't criticize me for that. :D
