I'm considering making an 80s music theme for uplink, it would be fully compatible with most mods, including onlink. What are some songs you would like to see included. Also if anyone wants to volunteer to make a bright 80s style GUI that'd be great, I'll do all the coding you just have to fiddle with some colors in photoshop.

    So far I have
    -Come on Eileen
    -Only the Good Die Young

Tears for Fears: Everybody Wants to Rule the World
    Joy Division: Transmission
    The Cure: Lullaby
Siouxsie and the Banshees: Kiss Them For Me
    Frankie Goes To Hollywood: Relax

I could go on, but I feel the need to point out that there would be no way to legally distribute such a mod.
It's a great idea, though. Now, if we could get a bunch of people/bands to give you the rights to a lot of music
that SOUNDS like it belongs in the 80's, you're golden. My original stuff sounds very post-punk, so it's out there.

Oh No! I forgot about the copyright lawyers. Tell you what this mod will only be distributed via P2P, for my protection and noone will ever know.

Also I like The Cure and Relax not so sure about the other two.

Now, a bit more complicated and more efficient would be to incorporate something like Predixis, the dynamic playlist generator from Winamp, or just add m3u playlist compatibility.

I know that music customizations is in 0.1.2, but I've not gotten a chance to play with it yet.

I also want to add a rainbowy eighty's style skin. Perhaps also throw in the word groovy in a storyline e-mail.

That'd be fun. It'd look kinda like an LCARS skin mated in a unholy fashion with the cover of a "Men At Work" album.

    "Final Countdown" by Europa.
    "Wind of Change" by Scorpions.
"18 and Life" by Skidrow. (At least, I think it's by Skidrow.)

    And, of course... Funkytown!

Oh, heck no. I may have been but a wee lad in the 80s, but my collection of new wave vinyl is formidable. At least, it is by my standards, since I'm the only person I know with a lot of records.
