It is a non profit organization called Remember Alzheimer's, our web site is http://www.rememberalzheimers.org if you are interested in helping me set the site up, that would be great. Although I designed the current site, it does not have a lot of room for expansion nor flexibility, and it was all done in EvrSoft's Firstpage which rapes the source and makes it only work with Firstpage, so I'm basically looking to rebuild the site from the ground up and add an online order system. Remember Alzheimer's is a legitimate registered NPO, and any work you do, and document is tax deductible. I am basically looking to rebuild a site that is easier to expand and change, and has a well integrated store. I currently have barely working setup on the offline version of the website, however I am willing to completely scrap that if someone knows how to integrate the interface of the store into a website itself. Contact me at ploguidice@email.com or ploguidice@rememberalzheimers.org if you are interested and are experienced. Also, we obviously don't conduct any research of our own, simply donating all the funds we raise towards the Alzheimer's Association, and care for under privileged Alzheimer's victims that cannot afford the help they need. I will be gone till New Years day, so don't expect to hear from me till then, if you respond. |

Isn't "Remember Alzheimers" a bit mean of a name to have? |

I think the point of the name is because Alzheimer's-afflicted people can't. But you already knew that, and I agree. The irony of the NPO's name makes it seem like they're jesting about the people they're helping. -- Griffinhart |

That is the point, it's supposed to be ironic, I didn't come up with the name nor start the organization. |

It really does sound like something that would go on one of those T-shirts that have "funny" sayings on them.

The site name isn't supposed to be mean, however if you get a 404 error... |

I dunno if I can directly help with the website or not, but I can give some suggestions. First of all, if your not extremely worried about integrating the site in with the shopping software, I'd try Wordpress, which is very moddable. As for shopping software, I did a quick search and here's what I found: http://www.shop-script.com/ They have a free version, and if you know some PHP you can customize it yourself. It looks like it has the ability to have static pages that can maybe describe what the organization is about. I think I might've even installed this for my website in one point in time, can't remember. Anyways, if you need anymore help, just give me a shout. |
