Then perhaps you should stop using proxies and register a user so I can ban you properly.

I rather tire of your pettiness, Darksun. I have made effort to not cross paths with you and thus we can stay out of each other's hair. This doesn't seem enough for you. The real question would be what IS enough for you.

I know you don't like Onlink. That's fine. It's not a reason to troll the users who do like it. If you dislike it, feel free to not visit. No one's forcing you to.

OK, I admit that a couple of the original edits were me (they'll match my ip address). Immature? Probably. Funny? Matter of opinion.

But I stopped. No idea who the subsequent edits are. Probably someone in #uplink, but not me.

And to answer your question, ever seen the butterfly effect?

Most people would say that instigating others in the IRC channel to follow your lead leaves you just as guilty. In legal terms, an accessory.

Call off your meaningless libel campaign. We both have better things to do.

I didn't instigate anything. All I did was link to the Wiki and laugh at the fact it claims that 'noone liked the FBI mod'

Okay

Crazy as I am, I just went and documented every software tool in Onlink. I might need some help in terms of the prices of higher versions, etc, but what I've put up are all the tools, descriptions, prices and sizes that are available to you in the beginning of the game:

http://www.io-in.com/wiki/Software

Start there. I'm going to do a section on HUD upgrades later.

Can someone please get the prices/sizes for the higher versions of:

All Bypassers and Disablers
Compressor, Decompressor
Encrypter, Decrypter

PM them to me if you don't feel like making the edits yourself :)

~ Eleazar

EDIT: I'm getting the hang of this. http://www.io-in.com/wiki/Gateways. A list of all the Gateways and Hardware Upgrades in the game.

Request for all users, please add
Code:
[[Category:Onlink]]
to the bottom of every onlink-related page

I'll spend some time on restructering the wiki. First thing I want to suggest is adding a Onlink namespace (contact me if you want to know how). After that I also want to move the credits to the discussion page, but I first want permission to do that.

I'm setting up a wiki at my workplace, so this will be good practice.

Question: Is conjecture about the implications of additions to the game kosher for the wiki? I've taken the liberty of posting the following lines in the "gateway systems" section, and would like clearance before I do anything else like it.

"A gateway system will probably function as a NAT (Network Address Translator) in-game, a system that hides several servers or personal computers behind it. In such a situation, the gateway system will probably have to remain hacked and logged into; theoretically, this would grant access to all the machines behind it, which may or may not have their own protections in place."

Thanks,

Finch

Speculation is fun. I see no issue with it.
