Does anyone have a mirror of the downloader, since Onlink-mod.net is still out of commission? I deleted my copy a while ago.

Thanks for the download, but i'm having an issue with mine. When trying to install I get an error saying "can't get file onlink-data-0.2.0-a8.tar.gz". That was with the 32bit link above.

The 64bit link above doesn't include the downloader; just the files, and it appears to be a7, not a8.

There's an updated version of the game in the General forum. Check the stickies for Onlink 0.2.5.

Yep, but that's full of nasty crashing bugs and I want to play most 'recent' stable version.

Actually, no. The one he's talking about is the first beta, and is by far the most stable version of Onlink out there.

Oops, my bad. You should have said you wanted the Updater, then.

Onlink Update 1.0.5

It's no big deal. This happens a lot.

The updater isn't working for me...? I can download it, but it fails to download anything (previous, current, beta). I have a copy of Onlink from somewhere (not sure what version it is) and have frequent crashing if I play too long. I tried registering for a bugzilla account but didn't receive a 'whole' link in my email, just a string beginning with 'token' that doesn't copy and paste over well, even replacing another bugzilla link that has that phrase. Also, The mission difficulty curve feels really steep. (Easy, easy, easy, Needs 40000c worth of equipment).

But, what I'm really here for is to say, 'Thank you!' I'm spoiled and not sure I could go back to vanilla Uplink. AND Help? So, I'm hacking into a mainframe, security reports Monitor 0, Proxy 0, Firewall 0. Shouldn't a proxy disabler 1 be able to snuff out the proxy and let me disable the rest by hand? Instead, it fails. In fact, I haven't seen proxy disabler succeed on any system.

Cheers.

Don't use the updater. Use the link I gave you in the 0.2.5 thread.

The bug you mention is a known one. It will be fixed next update.

for some reason all i can find is 0.2.0, i don't find any 0.2.5 thread, and i can't find the SVN link or links to Onward.

EDIT:
found the 0.2.5 link, i still didn't find the SVN or the link for 0.3.0

can some mod remove the "sticky thread" status from this thread? nobody cares about the 0.2.0* release anymore, and some people may be unlucky enough to find the 0.2.0 thread before 0.2.5 thread (newest as of writing) ;
For instance, if a user goes the the "News" section,
the first the user will find is
"Onward to 0.3.0"
and
"Onlink v0.2.0-a8 r15"
and
"ONLINK v0.1.2 FINAL RELEASED"
:|

- also a warning on first post would be nice
