yes i've started with a new user, and i also started another fresh user and the only thing i did with it was to access the gcd without doing other missions.

I am currently trying it on windows 7 and xp ( i normaly use vista ) to see if the outcome is different.

LE: The same problem on Windows 7 and on XP :(

Should i add the problem to bugzilla ?

It's also a litle confusing to get to all the versions downloads.

OK, there is a "download" tab at the onlink-mod.net page, but that leads only to the onlink updater, the version 1.6, the nightly 15 and the ModPack v1.0. All for Windows.
Would be great, to see a clearer structure. E.g. under "Downloads" find three selections for Windows, Mac and Linux.
You could put the onlink-updater as main download file and maybe the most recent stable versions on top and below that a list or some kind of link to a file tree, were you could find and download all the versions to one OS or maybe a unimposing link to "other systems and releases"
looking somewhat like that

Download
|_ Windows
|_ MAC OsX
|_ Linux

For Windows e.g.:

ONLINK_UPDATER
|
|... Onlink v0.2.0 beta (rXY)
|
|__ Onlink v1.6
|
|__ Onlink Legacy "nightly 15"
|
|__ ModPack v1.0
|
|
UPLINK << not downloadable but as info to see on what it's based on

Maybe a visible hint of any kind to see where an Uplink install is needed to build the onlink on and where not anymore. Whenever Onlink is a complete game on it's own, freed from Uplink restrictions it could depict a complete new tree root.

equivalent for Linux and Mac. So one would be able to easily find a previous release in case he wants to use that one instead of the latest (maybe because of stability or of nostalgic reasons).
