He's got a Core 2 2.0GHz MacBook. It's a beaut. Unfortunately, it's drained both mine and Miah's coffers to get.

MacBooks are really nice the only con is the lack of stand alone graphics cards, at least Intel's new stuff is somewhat better. I can give you a free legal Windows XP Pro license if you want to dual-boot. I have one from my school, and one from my job and they are both corporate unlimited style.

That's why I got a MacBook Pro. Has an ATI Radeon Mobility x1600.

And Miah and I have a site license for 5 machines to run XP Pro, so we're good there.

A great move that Apple could make (in my opinion) is that they could retail the os software. And they could allow people to do diy's (and not the diy's that require an apple mb, those tutorials you can find all over the place).

Yep, but I know one of you is gonna come up with a great counter-excuse as to why they haven't done that yet, and I'll be like:

oh...

:P

Apple's are good systems. They are sleek, clean looking, fairly stable, and a premium computer. However they are also super proprietary, not very powerful, tied down to hardware that is no different than PC's besides for the built in TPC, and overpriced. I have a Powerbook G3 that I use as my primary laptop, however I could never use a Mac as a primary computer, simply because the entry fee is too high, and I would still end up dual booting anyway.

I've sent in my resume. I realize I'm a fresh face, but I'm quite confident I can hold my own in any region besides actual coding.

Miah, was my resume received? Actually it wasn't a resume so much as an application.
